Steve Colgate Demonstrates Using Binoculars to Read the Fine Print on a Chart
Binoculars can act as a great magnifying glass aboard! Here is another great sailing tip to keep in mind when you are out sailing around and want to check your nautical chart for hazards, buoys, depth lights and more. Take a look at this video and keep these helpful hints in mind:
- Reverse the binoculars with the eye piece pointing down
- Place the eye piece very close to what you want to read
- Look down into the binoculars (the wrong way) and voila!
