About the Annapolis Sailboat Show
The U.S. Sailboat Show will take place October 5-10, 2011 in Annapolis, Maryland. This in-the-water show is the largest all-sail show in the United States with tons of boats, gear and services on display. The Colgate 26 is in the water, attached to the Offshore Sailing School floating booth accessed at the end of the "Chesapeake Bay Bridge" linking the main entrance side of the show to tents and displays on the opposite side of the harbor. If you're in the market for a great course on handling the Colgate 26, this is the boat used for Offshore Sailing School Learn to Sail, Performance Sailing and North U. Performance Race Week courses. USED COLGATE 26 for Sale
Hulls #102 and #112 (used) are available @ $25,000 each. Located at Liberty Landing Marina, NJ. Only one owner (Offshore Sailing School). Built in 2001. Each come with used sails (school logos removed). New main, jib and spinnaker can be ordered (contact Steve@Colgate26.com for pricing). You can pick up the boat or we will deliver at $1.75 per mile to you.
Colgate 26 TURBO Performance Package
Many Colgate 26 owners have added genoa jibs in order to race in Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) races. We worked with Jim Taylor, the designer of the C26, and North Sails to enhance C26 performance in PHRF races and other competitions. The package includes a larger mainsail, a genoa jib and larger spinnaker (with a longer spinnaker pole, genoa tracks and cars). If you are buying a new boat, the genoa tracks and cars will be installed by Precision Boat Works, manufacturer of the Colgate 26. If you wish to add the Performance Package to your existing C26, the installation is relatively easy.
The Colgate 26 Turbo Performance Package is $5,300 and includes:
- Mainsail with longer foot, more roach, made of 5.6 oz. NorDac Radian™ cloth, one full batten, three partial battens and one reef
- Genoa jib that is either 150%, 153% or 155% depending on the PHRF rule in your geographic area
- 75 oz. nylon spinnaker with longer foot and larger girths than the standard one that comes (or came) with the boat A 6 inch longer spinnaker .pole as well as the standard one that comes with the boat if new
- Genoa jib tracks, cars and end stops installed by the factory (or by a yard near you if for an existing C26)

Interested in a Fleet Purchase?
If your club, institution or school would like to purchase a fleet of Colgate 26s, please call Steve Colgate for minimums and pricing. the Colgate 26 is fabulous for round-the-buoy racing, training, match-racing and intercollegiate competitions. In fact, the 2010 International Match Racing Knickerbocker Cup will be held for the fifth year running on a fleet of Colgate 26s in Manhasset Bay, New York this September. Please note, we also have good experience with Government procurement and deliveries to foreign ports.
Offshore Sailing School Management Program
If you are hankering for a new Colgate 26 but can't justify the cost right now for a lot of reasons, put it in our Lease Management Program and have some fun while getting a modest return and hassle free ownership. The boat will be docked at one of our Florida, New York or New Jersey campuses but may be moved around seasonally. At the end of the lease (normally two or three years, but negotiable) we'll return it to you in good condition, ready to sail. Here's the deal:
