Offshore Sailing School Partners with Hunter Marine and Gill North America to Include Incentives and Giveaways for Everyone Who Loves the Outdoors
FORT MYERS, FL (September 21, 2010) – In an age when "bling" is no longer the "thing," sailing has become one of the most valued and meaningful gifts there is for those who love the great outdoors. Offshore Sailing School has announced three holiday stimulus opportunities so that during this season of giving, friends and loved ones can receive a memorable and rewarding learning vacation. No sailing experience is necessary.
“We are joined by two prominent industry partners to build real excitement for adventurers who like to learn on vacation getaways,” says Doris Colgate, CEO and President of Offshore Sailing School. "And taking a course this December allows everyone to take advantage of multiple sailing incentives," she said.
1) The Gift of Sailing Bonus. The first 20 families or couples who book a December Florida vacation with Offshore receive a beautifully wrapped box of sailing gear from Gill North America – leaders in essential sailing gear. The gift box includes deckhand sailing gloves, floatable sunglasses and a monogrammed Gill UV Tech Cap with retainer – helpful accessories when out on the water.
To qualify for the special Gill bonus, recipients must sign up by November 15, 2010 for a December 2010 vacation learning adventure at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island or Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa on Fort Myers Beach. Courses include Learn to Sail, Fast Track to Cruising®, or the Bareboat Cruising Preparation course. Only the first 20 families or couples who sign up by November 15 for a December Florida learning vacation are eligible to receive gift boxes. For complete information, visit Gift of Sailing.
2) "Win a Sailboat" Contest. December graduates can also take advantage of Offshore Sailing School’s “Win a Sailboat” contest. Everyone who takes a Learn to Sail or Fast Track to Cruising® course between November 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011 is eligible to submit an entry for a chance to win a brand new sailboat with trailer, donated by Hunter Marine and valued at $7615. A longtime partner of Offshore Sailing School, Hunter Marine builds sailboats ranging from 15’ to over 50’.
To enter, Offshore graduates are invited to develop an original, creative short story that communicates their feelings about sailing and why they want to "live" the sailing lifestyle. Entries must be received by June 15, 2011. The winner will be chosen by the editors of a leading sailing magazine. The prize will be awarded in July, 2011. Complete contest entry instructions can be found at "Win a Boat" Contest.
3) Holiday Gift Certificate. For those looking for a unique holiday gift to give to a friend or loved one, discounted gift certificates are also available. Until December 15, 2010, anyone can purchase up to two $300 gift certificates for $200 each. These certificates can be used for a two-hour sailing lesson or applied to regular course tuition at the Learn to Sail level, or for a more advanced course, such as Performance Sailing, Bareboat Cruising Preparation or Live Aboard Cruising. “Sailing is a meaningful gift that creates a sense of freedom and empowerment,” explains Colgate. “This is a great way to get a loved one or friend started in a whole new lifestyle.” For complete information, visit Holiday Gift Certificate Offer.
