From Power to Sail
I have owned powerboats intermittently most of my adult life but my environmental concerns have kept me from owning and operating a powerboat in recent years.
I did not realize how much I missed being on the water until I recently took sailing lessons.
Enjoying the water without the guilt
Sailing has put me back on the water, provided an enjoyable boating experience, and at a significantly smaller energy footprint. Now I can enjoy the water without the guilt associated with consuming large quantities of fossil fuels.
I recently attended Offshore Sailing school with my girlfriend. Together, we acquired the skills and confidence to successfully captain a boat of our own, which we did over Memorial Day weekend when we rented a Colgate 26.
A good steward of our earth
We look forward to an exciting, challenging future in sailing, harnessing the energy of the wind, having a connection with natural forces, all with the satisfaction of being a good steward of our earth. A new Hunter sailboat would be the perfect jumpstart to our future in the sailing world.
